At International Convention, I had the opportunity to be a Production Assistant for the Wednesday live stream. Not only did I get to work with amazing people from all over the world, I got to work with some of the people I had met at Global ambassadors week and through the ILN. We all wanted one thing: a smooth livestream.

If you have been to an international convention, you know that silence is not really the norm and that's part of its beauty. You always have people screaming when they find their best friends or amazed by the awesome things on display (Shoutout to IC steering team). Those sounds were great and we were fortunate to have really good microphones that didn't catch that excitement. What it did catch were the gigantic trolley moving materials or suitcases, that made a noise so loud our microphones picked it up. Part of my job was making sure those trolley wouldn't bother the livestream. So while the livestream was going, I was looking at all the big trolleys that were trying to come through. We offered them two options: to wait as long as they can to go through or maybe do a zig-zag through the floor being careful only going over. It was a lot to ask from the hotel staff that were just doing the job . Thankfully almost all of the big trolleys could wait so the live stream went without an issue for most of show.

I was seeing everything come to life so perfectly until I got a call from staff, they asked me if I wanted to go on and talk about my role. Although I was doubting if I should, I decided to calm my nerves down and step on. It was funny that something inside me remembered to go pick up my favorite BBYO T-shirt to appear on the livestream. With my “The Shofar” t-shirt, I jumped on and explained a little bit about my experience both at Advance Week and Global Ambassadors Week. It was so funny and memorable talking about my experience with the amazing anchors, Noah Golden from GJHRR and Ella Rose Booklin from South Africa. When I was down I texted my mom to not watch the livestream, as she is a big fan of all things BBYO. I was embarrassed although I had not even watched it myself.

When I came home I decided to look back at my favorite IC moments, one was the livestream. It looked like a professional livestream, one you would see on the news. That wasn't even the best part, remembering the experience, the jokes and laughs and the times so good, they go so fast is part of the reasons that I went to IC.
