Denver is home to BBYO International Convention 2019.

If you're heading to Denver with us, why not take a look into what this city has to offer?

1. Red Rocks

Red Rocks is an outdoor amphitheater just ten miles outside of the city. It was opened in June 1941 and was declared a national historic landmark in 2015. Some of the world’s famous performers have had concerts here such as Niall Horan, Portugal. The Man, Imagine Dragons, Paramore, Post Malone and many more.

“Red Rocks is one of my favorite places in the world. The concerts I have been to have been the best concerts I have ever been to. All of the artists say how it had been a life dream to play at Red Rocks and I love how I live so close to such an iconic place! Just over the central stage, between two giant red rocks, there is a view of Denver which adds to this already gorgeous location.” —Marni Leftin, Rocky Mountain Region

2. Stella’s Coffee

Stella’s is a great place to stop by for some coffee and food before you continue your day. Stella’s Coffee has been in Denver since 1991. Their drink flavoring is made in house, adding to their uniqueness. You can also bring your furry friends along to hang with you on the patio.

"My favorite drink to get is a chai latte. I usually come to Stella’s before a BBYO event or before my voter registration work begins downtown. I’m a big fan.” —Julie Grossman, Rocky Mountain Region

3. Civic Center Park

The Civic Center is right next to the state capital and the Denver Art Museum. It is a vast green park in the heart of downtown. The Civic Center hosts the largest annual Cinco de Mayo celebration. The Center holds many different festivals throughout the year. This a fun and relaxing place, while still being in the center of the city.

4. 16th Street Mall

The 16th Street Mall is an outdoor shopping mall which has over 42 outdoor cafes to enjoy everything from a casual cup of coffee to a nice dinner. There are shops on every corner of the street. If you want to visit the 16th Street Mall at night, you can ride in a horse and carriage to see all the lights that hang over this unique part of Downtown Denver.

5. Food Scene

Denver has a unique food scene. The Mile High city is known to have some of the fantastic food found in other cities like Los Angeles and New York City. This city has every type of food you can imagine. From Little Man Ice Cream, homemade ice cream to Bar Dough to a neighborhood Italian kitchen, Denver has many amazing food options.

“I love the food scene in Denver because there is tons of good Mexican food, different types of Asian food.  I love how there are so many different cultures here in Denver. I also love Denver for its outdoorsy attitude and healthy places like Nektar smoothies and Bibi Poke!” —Miriam Weinraub, Rocky Mountain Region
